NATIONAL HEALTH DEVELOPMENT PLAN (NHDP) 2021-2025

The National Health Development Plan (NHDP) 2021-2025 is the compass that will guide the implementation of health actions during the next five years. In order to ensure effective monitoring of planned interventions at all levels of the health pyramid, an Integrated Monitoring and Evaluation Plan (IMEP) 2021-2025 has been developed. It provides details of the monitoring and evaluation activities of the implementation of the NHDP and will allow in appropriate time, to assess the evolution of the performances achieved in the short and mid term in the health sector.

L'objectif global du PNDS est de "rendre accessibles les services et soins de santé essentiels et spécialisés prioritaires de qualité dans au moins 50% des Hôpitaux de districts et régionaux d'ici 2027". Il s'agit d'une déclinaison de l'objectif général de la SSS 2016-2017 qui est de contribuer au développement d'un capital humain sain, productif et capable de porter une croissance forte, inclusive et durable.

2016 Integrated Biological and Behavioral Survey (IBBS) Report among Key Populations in Cameroon: Female sex workers and men who have sex with men

In Cameroon, HIV is disproportionately high among female sex workers (FSW) and
men who have sex with men (MSM) compared to the overall adult population (national
prevalence 4.3% in 2011)1. In 2016 an Integrated Biological and Behavioral Survey (IBBS) was conducted among these two key populations. The aim of the IBBS was to assess the knowledge, attitude, risk behavior, and prevalence of HIV and syphilis infections among FSW and MSM in Cameroon, in order to inform programmatic interventions and policies to reduce disease prevalence and incidence in these populations.
