Fight Breast Cancer With Timely Action! Prioritizing Breast Health in Cameroon: The Urgent Need for Organized Screening Programs

Breast cancer remains the leading cause of cancer deaths among women in Cameroon, with 1 in 2 cases diagnosed at an advanced stage (stage 3).

• Late diagnosis accounts for over half of the breast cancer deaths in the country, yet fewer than 1 in 100 cases are detected through screening mammography. 

Mammography is the most effective tool for early detection and has been proven to significantly reduce breast cancer mortality.

2024-2030 NATIONAL STRATEGIC PLAN TO FIGHT AGAINST DRUGS

The Ministry of Public Health through the National Drugs Control Committee (NDCC) and the technical supervision of the Department of the Health Promotion (DPS) with the support of the Technical Secretariat of the Health Sector Strategy (TS/HSS) has developed this 2024-2030 National Strategic Plan for the Fight against Drugs (2024-2030 NSPFD).
